Frövifors paper mill is one remaining plant from the turn of the century’s blooming paper industry. The museum is the only one of its kind in Scandinavia. The machinery is intact and is working since the turn of the century, and that makes the plant in Frövifors unique even from a European perspective. In addition, the museum highlights the industrial paper-making in the Nordic countries ranging from the late 1800s until the latter part of modern computerized process. You may take part of the mill’s own history from the 1500s and onwards, and may at the same time get and insight into one of the sectors which laid the foundation for the Swedish prosperity.
